The News-Review in Roseburg, Oregon, has a reporter opening in its award-winning newsroom.
The successful candidate will produce content for our website, nrtoday.com, and our five-day-a-week printed newspaper. We seek a savvy reporter who can move rapidly from topic-to-topic, producing accurate and in-depth work on tight deadlines.
Overview:
Reporters at The News-Review produce hard news and feature articles. They are inquisitive, determined and focused.
The ideal candidate will have a background in hard news, be proficient in using digital and social media to track down news tips, have strong news judgment and a sense of both digital and print news cycles. A passion for local investigative journalism, the ability to meet deadlines while working in a fast-paced environment and a degree in journalism or an equivalent combination of experience and education are needed for this job.
