Well is looking for a creative and ambitious visual editor to produce outstanding service and enterprise journalism that will help Times readers live healthier lives. The Well desk offers coverage and guidance on a range of topics including mental and physical health, family and relationships. The Well report includes short visual stories and multimedia projects, so this role needs a versatile visual editor.
You should recognize visual opportunities, bring ideas to the table and work with reporters and editors to produce a variety of story formats, including small and large stories that can land in a day — or in a month. Journalistic judgment, visual creativity, innovative thinking and attention to detail are important aspects of this work. You’ll make frequent use of our CMS and adjacent tools. Candidates for this job should be comfortable with copy editing and photo editing, and they should have experience with video editing.
