The New York Times seeks a social staff editor

The NYT seeks Social Staff Editor (NY, NY);

  • To promote articles, photographs and interactives to new audiences, and deepen our engagement with the existing ones.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Creative Writing or similar discipline required.
  • Minimum 5 years professional experience.
  • Must have experience with External Audience Tools: Chartbeat, Google Trends, Social Flow, and Crowd Tangle.
  • Must have experience creating a brand-awareness editorial strategy, creating conversations and storytelling on Instagram.
  • Must have experience posting daily on social media accounts, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and TikTok.

Role holder is eligible to work from home on a hybrid basis with manager approval.

SALARY: $105,308.84-$112,000 per year.
