The Neon Door is looking for writers to submit pitches for essays about the intersection between art and technology for our online column on Neon Door called “The Immersive Future”. We’re seeking pieces that explore the potentials that virtual reality, the metaverse, and immersive technologies create for a new form of storytelling.

Deadline for submissions is April 5.

ABOUT THE COMPANY

Neon Door is an immersive literary exhibit. The name is derived from the founder’s favorite childhood manga Doraemon, in which exists a pink door that allows you to travel anywhere instantaneously simply by stepping across its threshold. Neon Door believes in art’s power to open doors, manifest worlds, transport and transcend.

WHAT TO INCLUDE IN SUBMISSION

All pitches should include a paragraph detailing the arguments/points the essay will make. Please also submit an author bio and links to or attachments of 2-3 bylines.

  • Payment is $250.
