The Information seeks a reporter to cover Amazon Web Services and the cloud

Amid this unprecedented boom in enterprise technology companies, there’s one company that sets the standard and influences the market the most. Amazon’s AWS is, in many ways, the cloud, and The Information is looking to expand our industry-leading enterprise technology coverage with a reporter to focus on this major force, its power, competitors, strategy, leaders and future.

The reporter will anchor a new newsletter on AWS and its competitors, becoming an essential read for professionals closely following the company and industry. They will work with The Information’s existing reporting team to contribute regular articles and reporting on the company and its competitors, as well.

The newsletter is an opportunity for an ambitious reporter to put a stamp on this essential coverage, creatively defining it for new readers. AWS is consistently a top interest among The Information subscribers; this beat comes with a significant and serious audience on day one, and the power for great expansion.

Candidates should have at least three years of enterprise reporting experience and a track record of scoops and analysis. We’re looking for someone who is immersed in industry developments and passionate about spreading them with a widening group of readers.

This is an opportunity to join the growing team of journalists at The Information, writing about what’s important in tech and media for a discerning audience. In nearly seven years, The Information has attracted tens of thousands of paying subscribers—putting the business on firm footing—including some of the most influential people on the planet.

Interested applicants should send a resume and cover letter to jobs@theinformation.com. We strongly encourage people from traditionally underrepresented communities to apply, particularly people of color. We are committed to diversity and to building an inclusive environment for people of all backgrounds and ages.
