Google’s parent company, Alphabet, is striving to become an innovation factory in medicine, urban planning and energy production.
The Information is looking for a reporter to cover Google and its sibling companies inside Alphabet. We need someone with the reporting skills to pierce the veil of secrecy around the company and to write the Google stories that aren’t being told. The ideal candidate will already have experience covering the company, including an existing base of sources, though a track record of original reporting on other parts of tech is a desirable alternative. Curiosity, creativity and perseverance are prerequisites for all candidates.
Our Google reporter needs the capacity to regularly break news and write deep dives, showing our readers how the company operates through vivid reporting that goes beyond the plain-vanilla stories that dominate the news media today. This position could be based either in New York or San Francisco
