The Information seeks a crypto reporter

The Information is looking for an enterprising reporter to cover blockchain technology and cryptocurrency and to put their mark on the coverage by leading a regular newsletter on the subjects.

There are few topics as opaque, fast-changing and, over the long term, significant to the technology industry as cryptocurrencies and blockchain. While crypto asset prices may rise and fall, the underlying technologies are having sweeping effects across retail, media, finance and more. And the product work is constantly and ever-changing.

We are looking for a reporter who has a zeal (and skepticism) about the industries to break news and connect the dots for readers. Our past crypto coverage has drawn a large and dedicated audience, which we are looking to expand rapidly in the months ahead.

The ideal candidate will have a few years of experience covering crypto and a proven ability to cultivate sources, break news and write original analysis. In addition to leading this regular newsletter, this person will be expected to write big stories for The Information and to collaborate closely with our newsroom on articles and events.

This is an opportunity to join the growing team of journalists at The Information, writing about what’s important in tech and media for a discerning audience. Founded in 2013, The Information has attracted tens of thousands of paying subscribers—putting the business on firm footing—including some of the most influential people on the planet.

Interested applicants should send a resume and cover letter to jobs@theinformation.com. We strongly encourage people from traditionally underrepresented communities to apply, particularly people of color. We are committed to diversity and to building an inclusive environment for people of all backgrounds and ages.
