The Grit Group is looking for writers

This is an opportunity to help craft exceptional content that informs millions of readers as diverse as pet parents, homebuyers, and more. If you have excellent writing and organizational skills, then this is a role and a team for you!

We are seeking experienced freelance writers with a background in SEO content who can take on at least one assignment per week.

ABOUT THE COMPANY

The Grit Group is a team of purpose and profit-driven marketers, creators, and builders. We own and operate digital first businesses, all with a vision to make a positive impact on the people, organizations, and communities that we touch.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Writing articles from start to finish, according to the specific editorial standards of our brands
  • Ability to turn data and research into fact-based articles that are fun to read.
  • Collaborating with our team of editors to make sure our content is customized, accurate, and engaging.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • You have at least 1 year of relevant writing experience (preferably for a print or digital publication or marketing agency)
  • You have a keen eye for detail, are great at following instructions, and are comfortable working with large amounts of information.
  • You have the bandwidth to devote 10+ hours to a project over the course of 3-4 business days.
  • You’re comfortable using or learning Google Docs and Asana (we offer training)

WHAT TO INCLUDE IN SUBMISSION

  • Write a short introduction about yourself
  • Include a paragraph highlighting your writing experience, relevant credentials and publication credits
  • Attach links to your strongest work or portfolio, and online profile.

COMPENSATION

  •  Starting rate is $30/hour
