The Grade is looking for writers

Anyone want to write a thought-provoking review and/or critique the first episode or two of this new podcast.

Deadline: 9 May 2022, noon EST.

ABOUT THE COMPANY

The Grade provides independent analysis of media coverage of education, helping to promote and improve the quality of that coverage. The Grade publishes weekly columns, a free newsletter featuring timely media commentary, and an annual update on newsroom diversity in education journalism.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We’d love to commission something for The Grade No journalism experience required. Here’s a model.

WHAT TO INCLUDE IN SUBMISSION

  • Write a short introduction about yourself
  • Include a paragraph highlighting your writing experience, relevant credentials and publication credits
  • Attach links to your strongest work or portfolio, and online profile.

COMPENSATION

  • $600 per article- 1,200 words
