This position serves as deputy editor with responsibility for generating, compiling, and presenting content in Colorado Politics magazine and website; sending out newsletters and managing our social media platforms; producing a political tipsheet; and, daily editing and organizing coverage under the direction of the editor and in collaboration with the digital editor. The deputy editor also provides leadership, guidance and mentorship to the reporting staff.
We are looking for someone with superb organizational skills, strong content and context editing ability and solid reporting and writing chops. The candidate must be able to wear multiple hats – someone who has no problems shifting from writing to reporting to editing. The candidate must be a team player who works collegially and earns respect at all levels of the organization.
