The Defense Insight is looking for a writer

The Defense Insight is a newly established defense research and publication house financed by numerous multinational corporates and institutes. We are looking for candidates to work as defense writers, editors, researchers on a rolling basis.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Above all, the candidates will be required to have a strong command of research and analysis capabilities to step in security issues – particularly with regard to the Asia Pacific, Southeast Asia, NATO and Eurasia affairs, as well as defense strategy, technology and tactics.

We are looking for candidates who are able to work individually approximately 10 hours a week, also serve as a part of special teams on projects such as symposiums.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Research and analysis
  • Copywriting
  • Fact-checking
  • Executing symposiums

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Expertise in Security Analysis/Military Service/Defense Industries/Foreign Affairs
  • Exceptional research and analysis skills
  • Sensible fact-checking instincts
  • Background in international relations, political science, national security studies, etc.

  • A writing sample, no longer than 800 words

COMPENSATION

  • $100 – $150 per article
