The Baltimore Banner seeks regional reporters

June 22, 2023

Posted by Mariam Ahmed

The Baltimore Banner is hiring reporters to cover the most interesting news of the day in the surrounding counties.

These reporters will be generalists covering institutions of high interest to readers — including the school system and county government — as well as real people from all walks of life. These reporters will cultivate a diverse network of sources , representing parents, retirees, immigrants, business owners and community advocates, among others, to inform their coverage. The ideal candidate is versatile, equally adept at writing breaking news and enterprise stories in a conversational tone that engages readers. We want to do more than tell readers what is happening in the news; we want to tell them what it means and how it affects them.
