The Victoria Advocate, a national award-winning family-owned community newspaper, is seeking applications to hire a business/ag reporter to cover the growing business and ag industries in its seven-county coverage area. Victoria is the business center for the region and offers a variety of opportunities for coverage. The ag industry, which spans all seven counties, is a multi-million-dollar industry.
College degree in journalism preferred, writing experience encouraged. Ability to speak Spanish is a plus but not required. Victoria is two hours from Houston, Austin, San Antonio and Corpus Christi and an hour from Gulf Coast beaches.
