Technomaterialism is looking for contributors. We are interested in pitches for essays on topics such as safety in the club from an abolitionist point of view, labor & anti-work politics, Black autonomy, pan-Africanism, Afro diasporic solidarity.

We encourage point of views grounded in the political economy of dance music & problematics within the realm of Black radical theory.

ABOUT THE COMPANY

Technomaterialism is an Afro-diasporic and Black materialist multidisciplinary platform formed by Black writers, musicians and club workers. It is focused on providing alternatives to McCarthyism & neoliberal representation optics in dance music.

WHAT TO INCLUDE IN SUBMISSION

  • Write a short introduction about yourself
  • Include a paragraph highlighting your writing experience, relevant credentials and publication credits
  • Attach links to your strongest work or portfolio, and online profile.

COMPENSATION

  • ~$270 per article- Our essays are about 2000 words long
