You are an Assistant Editor who is ready to join a growing post-production facility dedicated to the creation of best-in-industry video and audio content.
You have strong technical and software skills including proficiency in Adobe Premiere, and working knowledge of After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator. You are familiar with broadcast and online video formats, standards, and compressions. You have an extraordinary attention to detail, outstanding organizational skills, and excellent communication skills.
What You’ll Do:
- Assist in video editing for commercial productions, including loading & transcoding RAW footage, creating and organizing projects, laying out supers, generating prep for color grade, audio mix, and conform, optimizing videos for social, and editing cutdowns for TV and online videos
- Search for and recommend online content, stock footage and music options
- Participate in supervised sessions with senior editors, producers, creatives, and directors
- Closely follow best practices for delivering high-volume commercial tagging work
- Create agency and client review links and QC all work before links are sent
- Maintain asset libraries for ongoing client work
- Initiate project wrap process upon completion of projects and work with production teams to ensure all final projects, files, and deliverables are archived at the end of every project
- Create final deliverable files to spec for broadcast and online use
- Organize and maintain digital and physical storage spaces for fast and efficient retrieval of assets
- Ensure all media assets are checked in and checked out through the vault database
Communication Skills:
- Collaborate closely with lead editors
- Effectively communicate ongoing project status with producers and senior artists

Location:
Given the nature of Production team and the client(s) assigned to this role, we are only considering candidates that currently live in or wish to relocate to New York City or Nashville.
The annual salary range for this role is $50,000-$60,000 and may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic location and experience.
