Tampa biz newspaper seeks real estate reporter

Sick of the daily grind? Us too. But just because we’re a weekly doesn’t mean we’re not always churning out content. Whether it’s for the Web or print, the pace is fast, the stories are fun and the pay is competitive here at the Business Observer.

We write intelligent stories for C-suite readers. We explain trends, strategies and how business leaders are finding success in their industry. Our readers turn to us to learn lessons and find out who’s doing what from Tampa to Naples.

We’re seeking a savvy, experienced reporter to cover commercial real estate for the Tampa Bay area, including Pinellas, Hillsborough and Pasco counties (read: prime turf with LOTS of interesting stories), you’ll get to control your schedule, pursue fun projects and write about huge deals — and the fascinating people and companies behind them.

We are looking for an ambitious magazine-style writer with at leat 3 years’ experience covering the commercial real estate industry.

To apply, send a resume, 3-5 clips and a cover letter to Executive Editor Kat Hughes at khughes@businessobserverfl.com. No phone calls please.
