The St. Louis Post-Dispatch is seeking a talented journalist with experience reporting on commercial and residential real estate to join our newsroom.
Real estate is at the core of our regional and business coverage, and we need a reporter who can understand complex issues and write accurately and authoritatively for digital and print. The position will track residential, office, warehouse and industrial development, and will work with other reporters to monitor government agencies that plan, approve and dole out tax breaks for development. In addition, this reporter will cover a few key local financial institutions.
The candidate must be able to juggle breaking news and longer-term enterprise. The right applicant also looks for ways to integrate photos, graphics and multimedia opportunities into coverage and is a leader in engaging audiences through social media. Most of all we are looking for a versatile reporter who also is a collaborative colleague, critical thinker and a graceful storyteller.
