St. Cloud Times in Minnesota seeks a business reporter

The St. Cloud Times needs a reporter who can tell compelling stories about career, business and consumer issues and trends in Central Minnesota. You’ll provide thoughtful analysis of complex issues and translate that into interesting stories on every platform, with a particular focus on readers 25-45.

Coverage targets include careers, economic development, innovation and economic fairness.

You’ll be working with fellow reporters and editors who are committed to serving an audience that depends on us, teamwork and experimentation. We want to help make you better, and we want you to help us do the same. Recent graduates and reporters with some experience should apply.

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
