Sports Business Daily seeks reporter for international edition

SportsBusiness Daily seeks a Staff Writer for its international digital publication, SBD Global.

Must have solid work ethic and thrive in a team environment. Job is based in Charlotte, N.C.

Duties

Qualified candidates for the Staff Writer position must have excellent knowledge of global sports and business.
Candidates must be adaptable and have ability to pick up multiple tasks, must be comfortable with news aggregation, familiar with social media, and be able to work independently in a fast-paced news environment with multiple daily deadlines.

Skills

Foreign language skills are preferred for this position. Strong copy editing skills with writing and verbal skills needed.

Bachelor’s degree required.

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
