S&P Global seeks associate editor for bank and thrift news

S&P Global Market Intelligence is seeking an Associate Editor for its Bank & Thrift news team. On a daily basis, you will edit for accuracy, style and content in news articles covering a range of topics, including M&A, executive moves, capital markets activity and regulation.

You will also help shape our coverage by contributing story ideas, vetting news leads and working with researchers to create interesting and useful charts and visuals. You will use your strong leadership skills to coach and mentor team members. You will suggest ways to improve our processes and coverage.

Our real-time, subscription-based news service reaches an influential readership that includes major institutional investors, regulators and almost all of Wall Street’s leading investment banks. Our massive database, with comprehensive coverage of the market, regulatory and corporate data, offers ample opportunities to enhance and drive that reporting.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism or related field
  • 2-3 years of professional journalism experience
  • Must be able to simultaneously manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Fluency in journalistic areas (AP style, libel issues, etc.) Strong editing skills a must.
