The Daily Herald is looking for a journalist with a demonstrated record of identifying, reporting, and writing both daily and long-term investigative and in-depth enterprise stories.

We want to produce multimedia stories and projects that hold the powerful to account, identify injustice, expose abuse and lead to positive change.

The position requires a relentless digger and gifted storyteller who can collaborate with and inspire newsroom colleagues.

We need someone who is self-motivated and can pursue multiple stories at one time.

The Daily Herald prides itself on producing reliable, independent, local journalism. Our award-winning coverage often spurs community action and sets the agenda for public policy debate.

The Daily Herald, with the website HeraldNet.com, has been the leading news and information source in Snohomish County, Washington, for more than a century.

We are in Everett, a vibrant and growing community 30 miles north of Seattle, framed by breathtaking views of Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains to the west and the Cascade Range to the east.

This a full-time, guild-represented position.

We offer a wage of $18.00 – $21.00 per hour depending on experience and excellent benefits package including paid vacation and sick, 401k with employer match, medical/vision/dental/life insurance, employee assistance and wellness programs.
