Sound Publishing seeks a part-time reporter

Sound Publishing, Inc. is the largest community news organization in Washington State and is currently looking for a Part-time Reporter based out of our Islands’ Sounder publication in beautiful Eastsound, WA.

ABOUT THIS POSITION:

This position is on the day shift and is part-time, approximately 20-29 hrs per week. The schedule varies and requires flexibility based on business needs.

The job requires:

  • Reporting on local events
  • Interviewing community members
  • Editing and uploading press releases
  • Responding to phone calls and emails
  • Regular and consistent attendance.
  • Must be computer-literate
