community of more than 800,000 residents.
- The ideal candidate is a clear, concise and prolific writer
- One who can tackle breaking news and also produce in-depth stories.
- You’ll offer readers insight into health equity, mental and behavioral health,
homelessness, substance abuse, social issues, rural health care and
medical trends. - We’re looking for helpful, informative and timely stories.
- The Daily Herald prides itself on producing reliable, independent,
local journalism. - Our award-winning coverage often spurs community
action and sets the agenda for public policy debate. - The health care reporter should be comfortable taking photos and video
- Have an aptitude for alternative forms of digital storytelling.
- The reporter might also be called on to author a subscriber email
newsletter and be a representative at Daily Herald events.
