WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Our ideal candidate will have a passion for creating compelling and engaging articles that showcase the mission and values of SoAct. Successful Journalist candidates will enjoy conducting research and analysis and should enjoy working with a variety of individuals to create dynamic content. Candidates should enjoy working independently and have exceptional written and oral communication skills.

  • Strong creative writing and reporting skills

  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Impeccable written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with others
  • Proven ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Construct high-quality articles covering a variety of compelling and engaging topics relevant to the mission and values of the company.
  • Conduct market research to identify topics of interest within the target audience.
  • Collect and analyze data and information for use as supporting evidence.
  • Conduct professional interviews and correspondence with a variety of individuals and record first-hand accounts to provide credibility within articles.
  • Create and implement editorial calendars to improve organizational outcomes.
  • Accurately proof articles prior to publication and make edits as required.

QUALIFICATION

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)

  • Journalism: 1 year (Preferred)

  • Driver’s License (Preferred)

  • US work authorization (Preferred)

WHAT TO INCLUDE IN SUBMISSION

  • Write a short introduction about yourself
  • Include a paragraph highlighting your writing experience, relevant credentials and publication credits
  • Attach links to your strongest work or portfolio, and online profile.

COMPENSATION

  • $25,167 – $59,793 a year – Contract
