The Seattle Times seeks a business reporter (General Assignment) to cover a range of news and enterprise stories with insight and verve.
This is a full-time, temporary position for 12 months.
From technology and innovation to old-school industries, public companies to family firms, quick news breaks to analysis and investigative pieces – the successful candidate will be able to do it all. The position requires experience covering business, an understanding of financial fundamentals and SEC reports, and the ability to develop in-depth stories as well as break news.
Robust writing and reporting chops are necessary. Skills in sourcing and storytelling using digital tools are also required.
Experience: Minimum of three years’ professional experience as a reporter.
