Scranton paper seeks editor to oversee business coverage

Screen Shot 2016-08-26 at 9.23.00 AMThe Times Tribune, a family-owned daily newspaper in Scranton, Pa., seeks an assistant metro editor to oversee daily business news and assist with local news editing and planning for print and digital products.

We’re looking for a strong wordsmith with excellent news judgment who is creative and passionate about business news and how it impacts the consumer. Candidates should possess exceptional organizational skills along with the ability to coach reporters to develop in-depth business and local news coverage and enterprise that only local newspapers can provide.

This editor also will oversee content and presentation of an award-winning business section that publishes in The Times Tribune (Scranton, Pa.) and The Citizens’ Voice (Wilkes-Barre, Pa.). Our Sunday Business Weekly section consistently ranks among the top business sections in the nation.

Interested candidates should demonstrate strong editing skills, enthusiasm for the business,a digital-first mentality and an eye for detail.
