This reporter will explore the full range of the Bay Area’s economy — home to Silicon Valley, the engine powering California — to write both breaking news and enterprise stories about everything from how small businesses are emerging from the pandemic to how the rising cost of living is creating wider gaps and pushing teachers, firefighters and construction workers to live far from the communities they serve.
