The Recorder, a daily online and weekly print publication focused on the intersection of law, business and technology, has an opening for a full-time business reporter in San Francisco.
We are looking for someone to pitch in on breaking news while building out a beat covering innovation in the legal industry. The ideal candidate will be comfortable handling daily news coverage while crafting smart features and cultivating sources.
You must have journalism training, strong writing skills, and know news when you see it. Some daily newsroom experience is a plus, as is knowledge of and/or interest in legal and business topics. But most important is the drive to chase scoops, wire a beat, and hone your reporting and writing skills.
Qualified candidates please email to vblum@alm.com a cover letter; resumé; and three clips that best display your ability to break news, write engaging features, and turn smart analysis. Also include links to your Twitter, LinkedIn and other social media feeds.
