San Antonio daily seeks tech reporter

The San Antonio Express-News is seeking a technology reporter to cover the emerging tech and cybersecurity sectors in San Antonio as well as cybercrime, local military contracting and the occasional interesting development from the Southwest Research Institute.

The ideal candidate will have a natural curiosity for how technology is reshaping how we work and live as well as its broader impact on the economy.  The beat is diverse and far ranging and requires  a reporter who’s able to handle breaking news, features as well as long-form enterprise.

It will include coverage of NSA Texas, the 24th Air Force Cyber Command center, UTSA’s cybersecurity program, Rackspace, Geekdom as well as San Antonio and Austin operations of AT&T, Facebook, LinkedIn, Google and other national tech companies.

To apply, email your resume, six best clips and introductory letter to business editor Dawn Kopecki at dkopecki@express-news.net.
