Salisbury Post seeks an editor

The Salisbury Post is looking for an experienced editor to lead one of North Carolina’s best community papers. Salisbury is in the heart of Rowan County, a growing community located on the I-85 corridor conveniently located between Charlotte and Winston Salem.  The Salisbury Post is published five days a week — three print editions and two e-editions. We have a newsroom of eight talented and dedicated people.

  • Enjoy identifying story opportunities and ideas
  • Consistently meet press deadlines
  • Be able to switch gears quickly when needed to cover a breaking story
  • A positive, professional working relationships with staff, readers and community leaders

The Salisbury Post is part of a small regional group that includes The Stanly News & Press, Davie County Enterprise-Record and Clemmons Courier. The Post is an affiliate of Boone Newspapers Inc., a family operated company whose management have built careers in journalism.

Salary starts at $40,000 and increases with experience.  We offer competitive pay and benefits including medical, dental, 401k, vision, life insurance and paid holidays, sick time and two weeks of paid vacation.
