Sacramento Observer seeks a finance & business reporter

We are looking for a reporter who sees money in the context of Black lives in Sacramento and the nation.  This includes the growing gap between rich and poor, homeownership and homelessness, those who depend on school lunches for their children’s nutrition, and why some businesses succeed, and others fail. You can explore reparations policies, examine different census tracts in Sacramento to show where the haves and have nots live, and tell the backstories behind success and failure. You will also do watchdog, consumer-oriented journalism, exposing cons and scams and misuse of public monies.
