The Sacramento Business Journal is looking for an aggressive and ambitious reporter to cover one of California’s biggest businesses: state government.
This is not a political reporting position. The job requires delving into the state bureaucracy to find stories about how businesses in Sacramento and beyond are affected by contracts, regulations and legislation.
The job also will include covering the local economy and related topics. Candidates must show they can routinely break news and explain complex issues while meeting daily web and weekly print deadlines and energetically interacting with readers through social media.
The Sacramento Business Journal, one of 40 papers owned by American City Business Journals, is a respected news organization in a city that boasts a high quality of life and a reasonable cost of living. Pay is competitive and benefits are excellent.
Candidates are invited to email cover letter, resume and links or clips to sac_jobs@bizjournals.com.
