River Towns Magazine and our sister publication, the Bucks County Herald, both based in Bucks County, PA, is seeking highly experienced freelance writers to do feature writing for our high quality lifestyle magazines that cover local history, arts, culture, human interest stories, dining, architecture and life in the Delaware River Towns and surrounding areas. We are looking for experienced writers with strong story-telling skills and a bent for feature writing.

Interested writers must live within a hour’s drive of Doylestown/New Hope/Frenchtown/Yardley/Flemington.

ABOUT THE COMPANY

River Towns Magazine is published by Herald Publishing, an independent news media company based in Lahaska, Pennsylvania. Since its inception in June 2019, River Towns Magazine has shared offices, creative talent and marketing resources with the Bucks County Herald, an award-winning nonprofit news media company that serves over 250,000 weekly readers in Bucks and Hunterdon counties. WHAT TO INCLUDE IN SUBMISSION

  • Write a short introduction about yourself
  • Include a paragraph highlighting your writing experience, relevant credentials and publication credits
  • Attach links to your strongest work or portfolio, and online profile.

COMPENSATION

  •  .20 and .37 a word, depending on the publication.
