Reuters seeks TV producer in London

Reuters is seeking a live TV producer to work in London.

The successful candidate for this position will be a journalism graduate with experience gained in a TV or online newsroom. Working with our global team in a fast-paced environment, the LIVE News Producer will be responsible for planning and delivery of LIVE news to online and broadcast clients. S/He will have an understanding of news gathering technologies and genuine enthusiasm for LIVE news and its growing role on the web and tablet platforms. The successful candidate will be willing to work flexible hours.

Qualifications

University journalism degree or equivalent work experience.
Required skills:
Some experience in television journalism in internet or broadcast environment planning + newsgathering skills proven technical aptitude understanding of technical systems including websites strong communication skills proven ability to work in a team fluent written and spoken English.
Desired skills

Other languages an advantage experience working in other countries and regions an advantage.

Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
