Reuters seeks top news editor in New York

Reuters is seeking an exceptional journalist with very strong news editing and story editing skills to join Reuters’ Top News Team in the Americas.

The successful candidate will have a track record of driving enterprise and initiative coverage at a major news organization. You will be able to show that you can collaborate effectively with reporters and other editors in North America and around the world to produce compelling coverage that cannot be found elsewhere.

A background in covering financial markets and companies is a plus. The position is based in New York, though other locations might be considered.

Qualifications
–At least seven years at a major news organization
–Track record of leading enterprise and initiative coverage
–Excellent editing and news editing skills
–Knowledge of financial markets and corporate news coverage
–Degree or equivalent experience

Chris Roush

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
