Reuters is seeking a junior reporter to help with its coverage of the technology sector out of San Francisco.
A willingness to learn and help a busy team with all aspects of the technology file is a must. The successful candidate will be expected to build sources, break news and deliver exclusives and enterprising stories.
This role joins a team of reporters covering different aspects of the technology sector on the West Coast. This role broadens coverage to allow for reporting beyond the largest companies such as Apple and Amazon.
Qualifications
Applicants must be able to successfully collaborate with colleagues.
A technology journalism background, as well as the ability to recognize and handle a big breaking story are preferred skills.
The reporter must learn quickly how to produce deeply reported stories and to respond instantly to breaking news and quickly develop a plan for driving the story to deliver distinguished coverage.
