Reuters seeks senior political correspondent

Reuters is looking for a talented political reporter to join our 2016 campaign team as a senior political writer.

The presidential election is likely to be one of the most exciting global stories over the next year and a half and the right candidate would have the chance to write about a broad range of themes and issues in the campaign from a big-picture perspective.

The ideal candidate will have a flair for writing and the ability to conceptualize distinctive stories that will set our coverage apart from the pack. This position will require a deeply sourced reporter who has a record of breaking news and is steeped in U.S. politics.

Qualifications
– At least 5 years’ experience in journalism
– Track record of breaking news and writing insightful, distinctive stories
– Deep knowledge of U.S. politics
– Multimedia reporting experience a plus
