Reuters is seeking an experienced, creative and energetic correspondent to explain the impact of complex global events and economic shifts on U.S. manufacturers and other companies.
The successful applicant will be asked to tap their robust source list to deliver stories ranging from the impact of a stock market crash on demand for U.S. goods, to the minimum wage level’s impact on company profitability, to the opportunities and risks to companies and sectors posed by the proposed Trans Pacific Trade pact.
The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years experience covering some of these issues for a major news outlet, and editing experience is a big plus as the role will also entail mentoring reporters across the company news and economics teams and overseeing longer term reporting projects.
The role also requires top-quality writing skills as well as good communication and collaboration skills to help drive coverage that could involve reporters and editors across the region and the globe.
The position is based in New York City and reports to Transportation/Manufacturing Editor Joe White.
