Reuters is looking for an excellent journalist for the role of Politics Editor in our Washington bureau.

The editor will take on some of the biggest stories in the world as President Donald Trump seeks to overhaul U.S. taxes, health care, regulations, trade deals, immigration policies and foreign relations even as he faces an investigation into his campaign team’s Russia ties.

The populist real estate billionaire has already dramatically changed politics and U.S. relationships with allies and rivals across the world. The Russia investigation, power struggles inside the White House, and Trump’s relations with lawmakers, business executives and world leaders will all determine whether he succeeds or fails.

We are looking for someone who understands politics and business, and can work well with reporters to drive our daily news coverage and enterprise reporting on these important stories.
