Reuters seeks news editor

Reuters is seeking dynamic newsroom leaders with excellent news judgment, story ideas, rewrite skills, and the ability to effectively motivate reporters and editors to produce the highest quality work.

As a top news editor for the Americas, you will be running exclusive, insightful and compelling stories that readers will only find through Reuters feeds. You will ensure that these stories are reported and written to a high standard. You will also be helping to shape the file by working with other editors to allocate resources so that we are producing a differentiated news file that has depth.

You must feel comfortable directing stories about politics one moment and about companies, financial markets or economics the next. A global perspective is essential as you will often be working closely with reporters and editors in Asia or Europe.

New York is the expected location but other cities may be considered depending on the candidate.
