Reuters is seeking a correspondent, U.S. National Affairs, West Coast, to focus on developing a wide range of U.S. news stories cutting across social, political and economic issues.
The successful candidate will be able to identify emerging themes, be a tenacious digger, and have a track record in breaking news and expertly writing textured stories. Investigative reporting skills are plus.
The reporter will join a newly announced U.S. National Affairs team with a mission of providing distinctive coverage of the most important national stories in the United States for Reuters’ global audience. The job involves working closely with the Top News desk, Enterprise editors and other teams across the country.
It reports to the Editor in Charge, National Affairs, Jason Szep and is based in San Francisco, though we are willing to consider other West Coast locations.
