Reuters seeks multimedia producers in New York

Reuters is looking for enthusiastic journalists with clear writing and a strong understanding of how best to use still pictures, video and graphics to tell a story.

This is for exciting new roles producing journalism at the heart of the world’s biggest multimedia news organization.

Good news judgment and a love of all kinds of news are essential. We are looking for journalists who will respect Reuters standards while working with speed and accuracy to produce or assemble the ingredients needed for any story.

Flexibility and an openness to new ways to work and to present journalism are essential.

Responsibilities:
– Create or assemble the elements to best tell a multimedia story
– Work closely with editors and the Reuters team
– Bring ideas for potential coverage opportunities

Chris Roush

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
