Reuters is looking for a reporter to lead our coverage of law enforcement and the Department of Justice from the Washington bureau.
The successful candidate will break news and establish a plan for enterprise coverage on topics including civil rights, gun violence and domestic terror investigations and work with a team of reporters we are building to strengthen coverage of government enforcement actions.
We’re looking for someone who can deliver exclusive news and insight and who has the ambition to be part of a team looking to compete on both the speed and depth of our reporting.
Qualifications
Related coverage experience with a track record in breaking news.
A demonstrated ability to develop sources, work public records and conduct investigations are required.
The successful candidate should be calm under pressure, have an ability to multitask and to deliver clean copy quickly on a breaking story.
An understanding of what our global customers need is essential.
