Job Overview:
Directs, administers, and coordinates the General Manager function within the Editorial organization to assist in achieving its strategic objectives, support of policies and other responsibilities established by the Editor-in-Chief.
This person reports directly to the Editor-in-Chief and is responsible for setting and managing the day-to-day editorial operations and standards for executing logistics and safety for an internationally mobile news organization.
Qualifications
Responsibilities:
– Lead and advise a team of Regional General Managers on key planning issues and make recommendations on important editorial and business decisions
– Strategic planning and resource allocation
– Responsible for managing editorial logistics and safety
– Establish operational processes/ process improvement
– Monitor department performance against performance goals to ensure progress is being made
– Lead special projects as directed by Editor-in-Chief
