Reuters is is looking for a reporter who can handle real-time news from Fed press conferences and rate decisions as well as write insightful articles on the outlook for Fed policy based on conversations with policymakers and other experts.
She or he will have the opportunity to travel in the United States and report on a full range of issues confronting the world’s largest economy as the Fed heads toward its first rate rise in almost a decade.
One day you might be looking at workforce dynamics in Minnesota, the next week at student loans, the impact of a recovering housing market on the economy or how minorities are faring in the so-far tepid bounce back from the financial crisis.
We’re looking for a journalist who can write with flair and bring exciting ideas and stories into the newsroom and has some experience of reporting economic policy and central banks.
