Reuters is looking for a great business editor to run its Financial Services team in the United States and drive our coverage of banking, M&A and financial regulation from Canada to Argentina.
There could scarcely be a more important story for Reuters, which sits at the heart of the world’s financial markets.
The successful candidate will have a deep knowledge of the way the financial system works. They will also be able to seize complex stories and tell them for a broad audience in a way that only a real expert can. Experience of covering breaking news for a real-time news organization will be valuable.
But a background in strong enterprising reporting is probably more important, given the team’s mission to break news and deliver insight on some of the world’s most closely watched institutions for an audience of experts who themselves are part of the story.
Above all she/he will be a great leader of people, able to inspire an ambitious, high performing team, help them raise their game, and make it a magnet for talent.
