Reuters seeks editor to run Americas desk

Reuters is looking for a dynamic editor to join the Americas Desk to help elevate our editing of corporate and financial stories for investors.

We are looking for a motivated newsroom leader who believes that desking is active, collaborative and can make a difference. A strong desk has always been central to upholding Reuters’ standards and quality, and the successful candidate will be a champion of these standards. We want an experienced journalist who can help develop other deskers, as well as tap our deep well of specialist knowledge to serve both financial readers and media clients.

While a big focus of this job will be corporate news, the ideal candidate will have the versatility to handle stories of all stripes, including political, general, economic, market and commodities news. As we look to improve and expand our multimedia offerings, this job requires the ability to think across the whole breadth of Reuters, from pictures to graphics to video to text.
