Reuters seeks editor to be in charge of US M&A

Reuters is looking for an Editor in Charge, US M&A to lead a team of mergers & acquisitions (M&A) reporters as part of its corporate finance group in New York.  The Editor in Charge role requires a deep understanding of how corporate executives and dealmakers operate, strong source-building and organizational skills, and a drive to pursue stories with tenacity and perseverance.

About the Role

In this opportunity as Editor in Charge, US M&A, you will:

  • Lead a team of reporters
  • Break news on the largest deals in corporate America and ensure all M&A reporters in the team do the same
  • Help the team contribute to insightful and high-impact stories within the wider business news file, taking readers inside companies’ board rooms and shedding new light on the key decision makers.

About You

You’re a fit for the role of Editor in Charge, US M&A if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of experience in companies-related reporting.
  • A strong track record of scoops and ability to write with flair.
  • Previous reporting experience and contacts in corporate dealmaking preferable.
  • Editing and managerial experience a plus.
