Reuters is seeking an experienced journalist who will be based in Denver, leading coverage of a region that includes Colorado, Arizona, Utah and New Mexico.
The correspondent’s primary duty is fast, accurate, well-written coverage of breaking general and political news, including legislative issues, elections, crime, natural disasters and trials.
The job covers an extraordinary range of journalism, from pitching smart story ideas, to reporting and writing breaking news, to running a network of stringers and crafting smooth stories from raw contributions.
Qualifications
The correspondent must be able to deliver lively features and forward-looking enterprise stories. Aside from a strong journalism background, the job requires good organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.
The successful candidate will have at least five years’ experience as a reporter and/or editor. Experience as a manager and in dealing with stringer copy will be consider a plus.
