The editorial assistant is a critical entry-level position that involves providing across-the-board support for a team of 12 senior columnists and editors based in New York and in bureaus in Washington and Chicago.
The ideal candidate will have exceptional organizational skills, an ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously and a robust appreciation for the editorial process, showing potential to advance as a journalist at Reuters.
The position will report to Rob Cox, Global Editor, in New York.
The role will involve:
– Daily production of text and video content on multiple publishing platforms
– Promotion of Breakingviews through social media, email newsletters and other means
– Overseeing special projects, including the production and distribution of books
– Organization of regular editorial events, including dinner-debates and panel discussions
– Maintain and expand lists of VIPs, customers and editorial contacts
– Support Breakingviews editors with administrative, travel and other assistance
